Our Story
Thirty years ago, two imperfect people met at a backyard party, each carrying dreams, disappointments, and a few chapters that were never meant to define the rest of their lives.
Together, they built something neither of them had inherited, a marriage rooted in faith, friendship, resilience, and the ordinary decision to keep choosing each other. They raised three remarkable children, built careers, weathered life's inevitable storms, and discovered that the most meaningful moments were rarely the biggest ones.
Morning coffee. Sunday breakfast after church. Walks with the dog. Lifelong friendships. Family dinners. Quiet conversations at the end of the day.
A Well-Built Life was created as a love letter to those ordinary moments—and as an invitation for others to notice the beauty in their own.
Long before he met Diane, Ken learned that one person believing in you can change the direction of your life. That lesson shaped the husband, father, friend, and leader he would become.
Those who know Ken best know he'll always show up. He's fully present with the people in front of him, deeply loyal to lifelong friendships, and believes that keeping your word, loving your family well, and making time for the people who matter is a life well lived.
While he built a successful career, the life he's most proud of has always been the one waiting for him when he came home—a marriage rooted in friendship and faith, three remarkable children, and a home that's always welcomed people in.
